Although this web2.0 video has been around a while, the concepts and technologies presented are still relevant. In some ways web 2.0/social media is a change from how we do things, but in other ways not. We've always collaborated and worked together.Anyhow, thinking towards web3.0 (when are we going to stop naming it, and it just becomes the web?), I remind of you:
Library of Congress film preservation -- the ultimate archive
Cellulose nitrate is a very flammable material, but it also happens to be a very high quality clear plastic — 35mm motion picture film was almost exclusively nitrate, from the beginning of filmmaking through 1950 or so in the US, possibly as late as the early 60s in Russia and eastern Europe. But after a number of notable fires, it was banned for projection in a theater except under very special circumstances.

Question of the day: download video from facebook
There are a few different ways to download a video from facebook, none of which are built in to facebook. You can dig around in the internet cache for (IE) or Firefox or if you use Firefox you can add this wonderful little GreaseMonkey script that creates a download link right at the video in facebook. Whoa, now that is cool.

Convert text to mp3
Hearwho.com is a free online service which converts text (type it in or copy + paste) to a downloadable audio mp3. Choices include: male or female voice, English or Spanish language, and then a couple of choices for quality. I'm not sure how well it works with a large chunk of scientific or medical text, but still an interesting project.http://www.hearwho.com/----Very cool!
