e-Publishing? Isuuu?

Has anyone used Issuu to epublish? If so, what do you think? I've been considering switching platforms for the arts magazine. I like PacerCMS, but I don't have much time for development these days. I chose PacerCMS because it created a nice issue and did everything I wanted out of the box (and it pretty much does, once I created my CSS templates). So, I don't HAVE to switch to anything... but whoa, does Issuu look good. However, the free version is ad based. ;-(Is there anything opensource like Issuu?

GLA / COMO 2008

So, who's going to GLA/COMO '08? For the first time in FOREVER it seems, I am not presenting. How'd that happen? ;-)Instead, I'm on the ballot (unopposed) to Chair the Professional And Continuing Education Interest Group (PACE, that is)The problem I always have with conferences is whether to go support my friends/colleagues/coworkers or whether I should only go to those that interest me, or well, those that sound like fun. I try to hit the middle ground! ;-)I'm going to the 'Taking on Technology Preconference' (sounds like fun!) on Weds.

new art, new writings, new music -- it's moonshine

The latest issue of moonshine is up. Whew, that was tough work! The stylesheet has changed to dark with light text for the cover; not sure if I will keep it, but it seemed aprops for the time of year. It almost seems a little too much "me" which I suppose is okay, but I'm going to try to do something completely different with December's issue.

quick quick update - tweaking code, getting moonshine up, writing a proposal

Whoa, am I busy.I've been way busy getting the latest issue of moonshine up -- it looks great and I can't wait for feedback. In the process of working on moonshine, I had to muck about the php and fix a few little things, including a wrong bit of code. I think my programming class is paying off -- I spotted the error first off! Also, I'm working on a proposal to do some freelance technical writing -- more on that later. I've got to get my proposal in first....and there's your monday update.

Writers for moonshine are a diverse bunch: graphic artists, painters, poets, photographers, novelists, essayists, computer geeks, art professors & more. Some are professional writers; some are professional artists -- some are both, some are neither.
