Robin reads over the 4th

I thought you might like an update on my reading. I am really trying to find some time to read this summer as fall might be filled up with coursework (or then again, maybe not, if I decide to take the Fall off). My big summer plans (yoga and art classes ALL SUMMER!) fell through (I am doing yoga classes though, but it's not as challenging as I wanted...Here goes(and remember, I have a very ADD reading style!)FINISHED The devil wears Prada by Lauren WeisbergerOk, I must have had some of the worst bosses in the history of the world, as this person didn't seem THAT bad to me.

Robin Reads

I thought you might like an update on the 5 books that I recently checked out of the library to read: Here goes the score in no particular order:Q is for Quarry - a very typical Sue Grafton. What I like about Sue Grafton in the a-? series is the main character. She reminds me a little of my friend, L, in that she's tough, doesn't take crap from anybody, is a workaholic, smart, funny, etc. Anyhow, L. I now remember that whenever I read one of these books, I kind of think about you kicking butt and running around solving these mysteries. ;) What should I do with my life?

robin reads sometimes

Ok, So I now have 5 (count 'em) books waiting for me to read. I generally only get to read for pleasure a few times a year. Kind of ironic for a Librarian, hmm? Between all of the outside professional stuff (writing, etc.), art, exercise, etc., reading has become a real luxury.Depending on how the reading goes, it will either be several sessions (I'm a begin to end reader, thankfully, I'm fairly fast...)or more than 1 at time. I generally do this with nonfiction and things which require more thinking. Actually, come to think of it, I do this with art, too.

Robin reads: Color

I recently read a book called COLOR: A Natural History of the Palette, Victoria Finlay, Random House, 2004. It follows the author as she crosses the world searching for the origins of color. Part travelogue, part adventure story, part art & regional history, part journal.

cyber life?

Some people may know (or not know) that I've had a website since early 1996. My first website was a static html with light beige background and dark purple text. It was a 2 column page with a caption at the top. On the left was an image of one of my paintings; on the right was a 'welcome to my website...' kind of thing. The caption was just text (robinart) and at the bottom of the website was a little ani cat that ran from one side to another.
